Amana Institute of New York
Little Muslims of New York
A joyful, values-centered Islamic learning space for children—building Qurʾān fluency, love for Islam, and confident Shakhsīyah.
What We Teach
Qāʿidah
Children learn to read the Qurʾān beginning with Qāʿidah Rabbani, taught in line with MESBA standards for accuracy and fluency. Our teachers are fully trained and certified, ensuring students develop correct pronunciation (makhārij), tajwīd basics, and reading confidence from the very start.
Qurʾān
Students progress to nāẓirah (reading fluently) and ḥifẓ (memorization). Hifẓ begins with the 30th Juz and builds gradually in a supportive environment. Nāẓirah starts from the 30th Juz and continues forward, ensuring familiarity with shorter sūrahs first.
Islamic Studies
A well-rounded introduction to essential Islamic knowledge, including Stories of the Prophets, Sīrah of the Prophet ﷺ, core ʿAqīdah beliefs, basic Fiqh rulings, and selected Duʿās—taught in an engaging, age-appropriate way to instill love for Islam.
Shakhsīyah Building
Develop confident, sincere Islamic character through guided reflection, dialogue, and practical habits. Lessons are enriched with Al-Ghazālī’s Purification of the Heart for Children series, making classical spiritual teachings accessible and actionable.
Īmān Muzākara
Interactive faith-strengthening sessions where children revise and reflect on the core beliefs of Islam, supported by simple stories, examples, and Q&A. These engaging discussions help them internalize their beliefs and stay connected to Allah.
