Amana Institute of New York exists to nurture deep understanding of dīn, refine hearts through tarbiyah, and prepare students to return benefit to their homes and communities.

We are building a community where sacred knowledge becomes lived faith.
At Amana, Islamic education is not treated as information alone. It is an amānah: a sacred trust that should illuminate the mind, soften the heart, refine conduct, strengthen the home, and serve the ummah.
Our mission is to nurture students who learn dīn with seriousness, live it with beauty, and carry it back into their families and communities with sincerity, humility, and service.

These three principles shape the way we teach, mentor, organize programs, and measure success at Amana.
Deep understanding of dīn.
We seek more than surface-level exposure. Students are guided toward structured, serious, and reverent learning rooted in Qurʾān, Sunnah, Arabic, fiqh, ʿaqīdah, sīrah, adab, and the inherited Islamic sciences.
Formation of the heart.
Knowledge must become worship, sincerity, humility, discipline, respect for parents, service at home, modesty, and noble character. Tarbiyah is not an extra subject; it is the atmosphere of the institute.
Returning benefit to others.
Students are nurtured to become sources of benefit: teachers, mentors, daughters, mothers, sisters, neighbors, and servants of the community who carry dīn with wisdom and mercy.
Our mission has to show up in the classroom.
A mission statement only matters when it shapes the actual rhythm of learning.
At Amana, this means:
- Qurʾān and sacred knowledge are taught with reverence and consistency.
- Students are reminded that adab is part of learning, not separate from it.
- Teachers look beyond grades and care about worship, character, and confidence.
- Children and youth are helped to love dīn before they are asked to represent it.
- Sisters are given serious spaces to study, ask, reflect, and grow.
- Families are served through programs that strengthen Islamic identity at home.
